Colour Therapy

Red
Energises, anger, passionate and warmth. Red can be strong and impactful and is therefore suitable for a kitchen, playroom or snug. Don't forget it's more diluted friend 'pink'.
Blue
Universally accepted as restfulness, calmness, truth, constancy and peace, it's no surprise that over 50 percent of people choose blue as their favourite colour. Blue is perfect in bedrooms and relaxing living spaces - always be careful with the tone of blue you choose.
Orange
Warm, creative, joyous, sociable, both mentally and physically stimulating. The colour itself varies from rust through to apricot. It is often used as an accent colour but is excellent in a dining room or restaurant.
Yellow
Sunny, warm, cheerful, uplifting, bright and happy. Warm yellows are much more effective than yellows tinged with green. Yellows are good for study's as they can help to improve your memory.
Green
Colour of Spring, hope, harmony, balance, but can also be envy if yellow-green or muddy-olive. Always stay on the side of clear greens as they are more soothing than muddy-olive greens which can be depressive. Don't forget turquoise which is a mix of blue and green and is often used in hot climates as it brings calm. Green is a great healer and even if it is being used in plants, it has a positive balancing effect.
Grey
Humility, penance, self-reliance and criticism. Grey reflects little light and can be depressing. It's successful use is high-lighting bright accent colours. It can create a quiet, non-evasive atmosphere in situations where concentration is needed, however after a time, it can become mentally tiring.
